This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how RevenueCat (“we”, “us”, and “our”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses the information, which is linked or can be reasonably linkable to an identified or an identifiable natural person or household (“Personal Data”), obtained through the StartApp School, including through the StartApp School website located at https://www.startapp.school (the “Site”), and the StartApp School courses and events we hold or sponsor (collectively, our “Services”). This Notice applies where we are acting as a “Data Controller”, as defined under applicable data protection laws.

Personal Data We Collect
Depending upon how you interact with us, we may collect different Personal Data from and about you. Below we describe the categories of Personal Data we collect and our legal bases for processing your Personal Data.
Identifiers, Registration and Contact Information: This includes your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, courses taken, and other identifying information you provide when registering for or attending one of our courses or events.
Legal Bases: Consent, Performance of a Contract with you, Compliance with our Legal Obligations, our Legitimate Interests, including improving our Services and future offerings.
Internet and Other Electronic Activity Information, Device Information: This includes technical information, such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform, as well as information about your visit to our Site, which may include the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our Site (including date and time), page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, and any phone number used to call our customer service number or social media handle used to connect with our customer service team.
Legal Bases: Your Consent, Performance of a Contract with you, Compliance with our Legal Obligations, our Legitimate Interests, including understanding how our Site and Services are used in order to enhance their capabilities.
Legitimate Interests/Consent: To the extent we rely on our legitimate interests as a legal basis for processing of your Personal Data, we have considered the balance between our own interests (among other things, the lawful and efficient operation of our Site, and quality and enhancement of our products and relationships with you) and your interests and we believe that (a) you would reasonably expect us to carry out the kind of processing referenced above and (b) such processing will not cause you any harm and/or will not seriously impact your rights and freedoms with regard to data privacy.

How We Collect Personal Data
Directly from you: We collect most Personal Data directly from you when you use or interact with our Site or when you register and/or attend a StartApp School course. We may also collect Personal Data when you contact us or interact with our customer service teams.
Through Online Tracking Technologies: Along with our advertising partners, we also collect Personal Data from and about you through the use of cookies, web beacons, unique identifiers, pixels, and similar technologies. We use these online tracking technologies to conduct interest-based advertising to market certain products and/or services we think may be of interest to you. The online tracking technologies can be used to measure the effectiveness of a particular advertisement campaign, including by gathering analytics and other metrics regarding your use of our Site and/or your interactions with certain advertisements (including those on other websites and/or mobile applications). How and Why We Use Your Personal Data
We use your Personal Data to be able to provide our Services to you, including, but not limited to, fulfilling your requests and keeping you up to date on new courses, Services, and offers. Further, we use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
To administer our Site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes.
To keep our Site safe and secure.
For measuring or understanding the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you.
To improve our Site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Site and Services, when you choose to do so.
To deliver and improve our products and Services and your overall user experience.
Otherwise, with your consent where required, including for marketing analysis and to provide you with promotional update communications by email about our products and Services. How We Share Your Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share Personal Data collected through the Site, except as described below:
Service Providers: We may provide your Personal Data to our service providers that help us run and manage the StartApp School and that process Personal Data solely on our behalf.
Corporate Transaction: In the event we are involved in a merger, reorganization, acquisition or sale of all or a portion of its assets, or other corporate transactions, we may disclose your Personal Data as part of that transaction.
As Required By Law or to Protect our Legal Rights: We may disclose your Personal Data if we determine that the disclosure is necessary: (i) to comply with any law applicable to us, a request from law enforcement, a regulatory agency, or other legal process; (ii) to protect the legitimate rights, privacy, property, interests or safety of our business, our business partners, personnel, or the general public; (iv) to pursue available remedies or limit damages; (v) to enforce our Terms of Use or (vi) to respond to an emergency.
As Directed by You: We may disclose your Personal Data when you have directed us to do so, including where you have provided your consent, when required under applicable laws.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
We may use certain service providers or other third parties located in a jurisdiction other than the one where you are located. If we do transfer your Personal Data to another jurisdiction, we will do so following due diligence and provided that the data recipient is subject to contractual agreements imposing obligations on it to ensure appropriate technical and organization measures are implemented and maintained at all times to prevent the unauthorized and unlawful processing of Personal Data, and the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, Personal Data, consistent with our obligations under applicable data protection laws.
Minors
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from or about children under the age of 18 through our Site. If you are under 18, please do not give us any Personal Data. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s internet usage and to help enforce this Notice by instructing their children never to provide us Personal Data. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided Personal Data to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
Security of Personal Data
We employ reasonable security precautions to protect Personal Data. The Site is operated from a secure environment with integrated security measures to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of Personal Data provided on or through the Site. However, no method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure. As a result, although we strive to protect Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us through or in connection with the Site.
Retention of Personal Data
We retain Personal Data during any period in which you have expressed an interest in our products and services, for as long as you have an account with us in order to meet our contractual obligations to you, and for six years after that to identify any issues and resolve any legal proceedings. We may also retain aggregate information beyond this time for research purposes and to help us develop and improve our services. You cannot be identified from aggregate information retained or used for these purposes.

Right to Object. You may have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data for direct marketing/profiling or where we are processing your Personal Data for our legitimate interests.
Right to Withdraw Consent. Where you have provided us with consent the processing of your Personal Data, you may have the right to withdraw such consent.
Right to Not be Subject to Automated Individual Decision-Making. You may have the right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Right to Contact Supervisory Authority. You may have the right to contact the relevant supervisory authority and to lodge a complaint.
Rights to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising, Sale of Personal Data and/or Profiling: You may have the right to opt-out of our processing of your Personal Data for the purposes of (i) targeted advertising, (ii) the sale of Personal Data, or (iii) profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning the consumer.

“Shine the Light” and “Eraser” Laws: Residents of the State of California may request a list of all third parties to which we have disclosed certain information during the preceding year for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year, and we reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the email or mailing addresses specified below.

The Site may contain links to various websites that we do not control. When you click on one of these links, you will no longer be transacting business through the Site.
